The Taliban took over Afghanistan on August 15th and the locals are worried about the governance. The US troops had to return back to their country after there are tense situations in the Kabul airport. Hundreds of innocents and the Taliban along with the foreigners passed away in the attacks in the recent weeks. The locals have been protesting against the Taliban as there is no clarity about their rule in the country. The Taliban clarified that Mullah Hasan Akhund will take the oath as the new and interim Prime Minister of the country. Mullah Hasan Akhund has played a crucial role since 1990 in the Taliban. Mullah Abdul Ghani will take oath as the Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan.

Mullah Hasan Akhund is said to be a religious scholar who is quite conservative. He announced gender segregation and denied civil rights for the ethics and adoption of the strict religious rules. Mullah Hasan Akhund served the councils of Taliban from the past few years. Mullah Hasan Akhund ordered the destruction of sixth-century statues of the Buddhas in 2001. He also served as the Foreign Minister of the country in 1990s and operated mostly from Pakistan.
