A series of coronavirus strains attacked the globe and the people across the world are shattered by the pandemic. Though the vaccination for coronavirus is available, there is a lot of confusion if this can protect the upcoming strains that will arrive in the third wave of coronavirus. As of now, two doses of all the vaccines are available in the market. The Health Experts say that the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine can be more effective for the organ transplant recipients than the first two doses. This is a conclusion from a recent study told the experts. The researchers from the Johns Hopkins University conducted a research on organ transplant recipients and those with low antibody levels after the two doses had an increase in their antibody levels after taking the third dose of coronavirus vaccination.

The study has been published in the Annals of Internal Medicine and the research was carried on 30 patients who recently underwent transplants for heart, kidney, liver, lungs or pancreas. All these patients took two doses of the coronavirus vaccine and they have taken the third dose recently. More than one-third of the patients who struggled for antibody levels showed a great increase in the levels after the third dose of vaccination. The researchers now believe that the third dose of vaccination shot is more effective than the first two doses for some of the individuals.
