Israeli Air Force strikes deep: Syria Cries Foul

The recent developments have indicated that Middle-East region will be boiling once again. The forever fragile relationship of Israel and Arab countries has deteriorated even more as Israeli fighter and bomber jets  launched ariel attack against  Syrian military installations deep inside the country. Israel launched airstrikes into Syria Sunday for the second time in three days, and said that  the Syrian civil war could widen into a broader regional conflict.

Reacting to this, Syria's Foreign Ministry said that Israeli jets flying over Lebanon fired at three military installations northwest of Damascus near the Lebanese border . The attack—believed by the U.S and other NATO countries, to be aimed at weapons specially advanced Iranian-made surface-to-surface Fateh 110 rockets  bound for the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

The main concern for Israel is  the Iranian-made guided missiles can fly deep into Israel and deliver powerful half-ton bombs with pinpoint accuracy unlike the unsophisticated pipe bombs and rockets made with anti- aircraft battery shells, which Hezbollah has been using against the Jewish State. It is also worth mentioning that Israel has repeatedly threatened to intervene in the Syrian civil war to stop the transfer of what it calls "game-changing" weapons to Hezbollah.

However, Officially Israel has not taken any responsibility for the attack as of now  . The Israeli military said Sunday it had deployed two rocket-interceptor batteries near cities in the north, in what an Israeli Defense Forces spokesman called part of "situational security assessments." U.S. officials believe Israel carried out the airstrikes.

Syrian government sources said that they consider the attack to be the declaration of war by Israel against the country which has already been covered with dust and blood in a deadly civil war.
