Superstar Rajinikanth wrapped up the entire shoot of his next outing 2.0 which is said to be the sequel of Robo. Super talented filmmaker Shankar directed the movie which has been made on a budget of Rs 400 crores. British model Amy Jackson played the female lead in the film and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is the lead antagonist in the movie. Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar are said to have been paid hefty remunerations for the film which will have huge dose of VFX work.
The post-production work of 2.0 is currently on and the movie will hit the screens in 15 different languages across the world. The makers are spending hefty amounts for the publicity which will kick start from October with the music launch. A massive music launch event has been planned in Dubai which will take place during the mid of October. The first teaser of the movie will be out during November in Hyderabad. The theatrical trailer will have its release in Chennai during December and all these events will witness the presence of the lead actors and the technicians. The whole team of 2.0 will even promote the film across North India before the film’s release.
Shankar wanted ample time for the post-production work and the film has been surprising everyone with the pre-release business. The satellite rights alone have been acquired by Zee TV for a whopping amount of Rs 110 crores. Lyca Productions is producing 2.0 and the movie has been slated for January 25th release during Republic Day weekend. AR Rahman is composing the music and Rajinikanth is all set to surprise the audience in three different looks. Already Akshay Kumar’s look gained huge response. Shankar is leaving no stone unturned for the movie and 2.0 is said to be the costliest Indian film till date.
